KCLA Mentorship Program Poster - March 21.jpeg

On behalf of the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association (KCLA), we are excited to invite you to participate in our brand new Mentorship Program, designed to foster professional growth and strengthen our community of Korean Canadian lawyers across all of our Chapters. The Mentorship Program will have two structures:
(1) one-on-one Mentor and Mentee pairings who will be encouraged to meet in-person and/or virtually throughout the year and
(2) mentorship “families” that bring numerous Mentors and Mentees with common professional interests together in a small group format.

Mentor and Mentee pairings and “families” will have the opportunity to attend mentorship program exclusive events hosted by the KCLA Chapters.

Who Can Be a Mentor?

We invite all Korean Canadian identifying lawyers of varying seniority to apply as Mentors. Your insights and guidance can make a positive impact on the next generation of Korean Canadian lawyers.

We also encourage junior lawyers and articling students to apply to be Mentors to our law students. Participating as a KCLA Mentor early on in your career provides a unique opportunity to hone in on your leadership skills and to start giving back.

In the spirit of creating a broad Mentor base for our Mentees, Mentors are not required to be a registered, paying members of KCLA in order to be a Mentor. However, if you are not a 2025 registered member, we would love for you to join via our registration link: https://app.joinit.com/o/kcla.

Who Can Be a Mentee?

We invite all Korean Canadian identifying lawyers, articling students and law students to apply as Mentees. Gain valuable advice, support, and practical knowledge from seasoned lawyers who can help you navigate your career, expand your network, and enhance your professional development

Note that you are required to be a registered, paying member of KCLA in order to be a Mentee (law students and articling students can join for free).  If you are not a 2025 registered member, we would love for you to join via our registration link: https://app.joinit.com/o/kcla.

How to Get Involved:

Based on your responses to the intake forms, KCLA will match you with a mentor/mentee and to a mentorship “family”.

We look forward to your participation and thank you for your continued support of KCLA!
