AGM Save the Date and Call for KCLA Board Member Nominees (2026–2028 Term)

Please save the date for KCLA’s annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for June 29. The AGM will be held virtually, 6:30 pm ET/4:30 pm MT/3:30 pm PT. A link to join the AGM will be available in the coming weeks.

 

At the AGM, members will:

 

Vote to fix the number of directors on the Board at seven (7);

Elect eligible candidates to the Board of Directors;

Approve the dispensation of the appointment of a public accountant; and

Attend to any other matters.

Call for Board Member Nominees

 

In connection with the AGM, KCLA is pleased to open the call for submissions of interest for our 2026–2028 Board of Directors. We invite engaged and committed KCLA members to consider putting their names forward for nomination. Serving on the Board is an excellent opportunity to help shape our programming, advance our mission and support Korean Canadian legal professionals across the country.

 

Eligibility

 

To be eligible to serve as a director, applicants must be current paid-up KCLA members. Membership must be active both at the time of submission and on June 29 (i.e., the date of the AGM).

 

How to Submit Nomination

 

Please submit the following materials (which will be shared with all members as part of the AGM materials):

 

1. Resume/CV

2. Statement of Interest (maximum 500 words), outlining:

​

•Why you wish to serve as a director;

•The relevant experience, skills and perspectives you would bring to the Board; and

•Any ideas or areas of particular interest for KCLA’s future initiatives.

The deadline has been extended to June 19. Please fill out this form by June 19 if you are interested. Late submissions may not be considered.
