 KCLA News

On December 14, 2020, KCLA issued a letter to the Ministry of Long-Term Care to help prevent the proposed licence transfer of the Rose of Sharon Korean Long Term Care to the for-profit entity, RYKKA Care Centres LP. We asked the Ministry to consider that non-profit homes provide better care for its residents than for-profit homes, and Rykka's past conduct affords reasonable grounds to believe that the proposed transfer would be prejudicial to the health, safety or welfare of Rose of Sharon's residents.
